ジオノス｜伊豆大島を知る、旅のはじまりに

伊豆大島は、島全体がひとつの活火山であり、ジオパークに認定された自然豊かな島です。火山がつくり出したダイナミックな地形と、その上で育まれてきた自然や人の暮らしが、この島ならではの魅力です。
ジオノスは、そんな伊豆大島の「大地（ジオ）」を軸に、自然・歴史・文化をやさしく知ることができる場所です。島を巡る前に立ち寄ると、このあとの景色の見え方が少し変わるかもしれません。

Izu Oshima is a unique island shaped by a single active volcano, recognized as a geopark and rich in natural beauty.
Its dynamic landscapes, formed by volcanic activity, together with the nature and way of life that have grown upon them, create a character found nowhere else.
Geonous is a place where you can gently explore the island’s “geo” ― its land, nature, history, and culture.
Stopping by before exploring the island might just change the way you see the scenery that follows.
The first floor is free to enter, featuring a theater and a tourist information area, making it easy to drop in casually.

1階は無料で見学でき、シアターや観光情報コーナーなどがあり、気軽にふらっと立ち寄れます。2階は有料エリアで、火山の成り立ちや地層、島の自然や暮らしについて、ゆっくりと学ぶことができます。
Flaritoからは徒歩15分ほど。天気が少し崩れた日や、ゆっくり過ごしたい日にもちょうどいい場所です。
伊豆大島はただ巡るだけでも十分に楽しめる島ですが、少しだけ知ってから歩くと、旅の時間がもう少し豊かになります。そんな小さなきっかけをくれる場所です。

Located about a 15-minute walk from Flarito, it’s a perfect spot for slower moments ― especially on days when the weather isn’t ideal
