元町港を出てすぐ迎えてきれるのは、カフェ風の外観のお店、1173（いい波）

Just outside Motomachi Port, you’re greeted by 1173 (Good Waves), a cafe-style restaurant.

昼間はお蕎麦とカレーがメイン。元々牛丼を提供していた店主が出す蕎麦は、牛出汁が効いており、思わず口元がほころぶ。この店は２つの顔を持つ。
夜は照明が落ち、雰囲気ががらりと変わる。落ち着いた居酒屋へと変貌した空間に、地元の食材を使った酒の肴が酒を呼ぶ。特に、島唐辛子がアクセントとなった酒盗が乗る「酒盗クリームチーズ」は恰好のお酒のアテだ。

地元民の集いの場にもなっており、島民と酒を酌み交わしながら、夜が更けていく。

During the day, soba noodles and curry are the main dishes. The owner, who originally served beef bowls, makes soba noodles with a flavorful beef broth that will bring a smile to your face. This restaurant has two faces. At night, the lights dim and the atmosphere changes completely. The space transforms into a relaxed izakaya (Japanese pub), where local ingredients are used to make appetizers that beckon you to drink. In particular, the “Shuto Cream Cheese,” topped with shuto (fermented fish innards) accented with island chili peppers, is the perfect accompaniment to drinks. It also serves as a gathering place for locals, where you can share drinks with islanders as the night wears on.
