海鮮茶屋　寿し光は元町港の程近くにある鮨屋。
港の近くという立地故、昼間は窓から海を眺めながら新鮮な地魚やべっこう寿司がいただける。魚の旨さは言うまでのないが、地酒を中心にお酒のラインナップが豊富などが嬉しい。そして夜には石焼麻婆豆腐など、鮨屋では珍しいアイテムがある。島名産の青唐辛子を使った麻婆豆腐は、酔った意識が一瞬素面になるほどの刺激だ。

朗らかな店主との島の話も、絶好の酒のアテになる。身も心も休まる、温かいお店だ。

　Kaisen Chaya Sushikoh is a sushi restaurant located very close to Motomachi Port. Because of its port location, during the day you can enjoy fresh local fish and amberjack sushi while gazing at the sea from the window. The deliciousness of the fish goes without saying, but what’s even better is the extensive selection of alcoholic beverages, mainly local sake. And in the evening, they offer unusual items for a sushi restaurant, such as stone-grilled mapo tofu. The mapo tofu, made with the island’s famous green chili peppers, is so spicy it might sober you up for a moment.
Chatting with the cheerful owner about the island is also the perfect accompaniment to your drinks. It’s a warm and welcoming place where you can relax both body and soul.
